QUESTION OF THE MONTH:
"Should We Use Landscape Fabric In Our Plant Garden?"
Well here's a hint: Proper install and proper fabric! While correctly and professionally installed, high-quality fabric is great for some spots; it is not necessary in others. When you DO put it down though - your maintenance done through us or yourself IS ALWAYS EASIER FOR YEARS TO COME, because all previous growth from underneath the fabric is blocked and dusty little weeds on top will always be easy to pull if you stay on top of them vs. yanking those big heavy bad boys through your mulch or rocks without the properly pinned in fabric.
Now if your flower bed area didn't have a lot of weeds or grass to begin with, will you be better off without the fabric? Of course, yes, 100%. It is case by case and we're happy to give you our honest tried and true opinion. SETTLED!
Some Additional Instances Where Fabric Is Also Useful:
-When you do not wish for your plants to spread and would like to keep the look you originally planned for, or would like to prevent underground root spread and plant repopulation
-When you want to convert an area that traditionally was not a flower bed and it has far too much growth to simply pull a few weeds and add mulch as the solution
-When you prefer a widely spaced plant layout vs. a dense plant layout and lots of open mulched surface area is exposed
Either way, you always want to get an experienced opinion - and those are always free - call us anytime and we'll come out to asses!
